Roskilde Fjord invites you to enjoy experiences on and by the water around the towns of Roskilde, Lejre and Frederikssund. Along the fjord’s gentle shores, you’ll find welcoming bathing spots with shallow, calm waters, ideal for families as well as for a quiet swim in scenic natural surroundings.

The fjord is rich in fish and attracts anglers throughout the year, whether casting a line from the shore or from a boat. The tranquil waters are well suited to kayaking, paddleboarding and small boats at an unhurried pace. From the water, the landscape opens up with green meadows, small inlets and stretches of coastline shaped by history and a living fjord culture.
